My sister Louise loves to bake these cookies and they are incredibly good – I like to get them quite golden on the outside as it gives extra texture and flavour
240g caster sugar (1 cup)
1 tin condensed milk
600g flour (approx 41/2 cups)
4 tsp baking powder
2 pinches of salt
2 pkts of choc chips ( I use two different types) approx 500g
Preheat oven to 180 degC or fan bake 160degC
Cream butter and sugar, add condensed milk and beat until its all mixed.
Add flour, baking powder and salt to the mixture and combine well.
Add the choc chips and mix in. I use my Kenwood mixer on the lowest level for this.
Using baking paper on the oven trays or grease the tray before use, roll mix into balls and press down with fork.
Bake at 180deg(or 160 fan bake) for approx 15 mins or until edges are golden.
Cool on rack.
Cook’s tip: dust the fork in flour to prevent sticking with the dough.
